InvestAraucanía, the first Regional Unit for the Promotion and Attraction of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) established in Chile in April 2019.
Our mission is to propose, promote, and execute the Regional Strategic Plan for the Development, Promotion, and Attraction of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
The model we coordinate involves carrying out functions and actions related to positioning the regional image and promoting opportunities for foreign investment on the international stage. InvestAraucanía is directly dependent on the Regional Government of La Araucanía (Gore). It was created in the context of the implementation of Law 20,848, which regulates FDI decisions, and aims to enhance the arrival of foreign companies and capital to the region.

What do we do?

• Support the arrival of new foreign investors in La Araucanía and assist those already present in the region seeking to expand their businesses.
• Disseminate and promote at the regional, national, and international levels the value proposition and regional portfolio of investment opportunities.
• Enhance local capacity to host delegations of entrepreneurs and improve the investment climate.

How?

Through the provision of Proximity Services to Foreign Investors, primarily involving the handling of inquiries, which are referred to members of the regional FDI ecosystem.
This includes both public services, academia, and the private sector, encompassing investment facilitation and incentive delivery; addressing concerns; advising on regional and local incentive schemes; advisory services in the co-execution of investor expansion; aftercare; and managing the investment climate in the region
